Data security

Your application. Your data. Period.

Five honest answers to the questions you should ask before uploading your resume anywhere — from JobLead, in plain language instead of legalese.

Where is my data stored?

On Google Cloud servers in the EU: your application data in Belgium (Cloud SQL), the app itself in the Netherlands (Cloud Run). Your browser never talks to the database directly — every request goes through our servers and is checked against your login there.

Which AI reads my resume?

Only when you start an AI feature yourself (e.g. a job check or resume import) do we send the necessary content to Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude — as data processors under contract. We don’t train AI models on your data. Processing may take place in the US; the details are laid out transparently in the privacy policy.

Who can see my application?

No one but you. JobLead is not a recruiting platform: we don’t sell profiles and we don’t pass anything on to employers. The only thing that ever becomes public is what you one day publish yourself, explicitly — it never happens on its own.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. “Delete account” in your profile immediately removes all your data — resumes, cover letters, applications, analyses. No waiting period, no “we’ll keep an archive”.

How is access protected?

You log in through Firebase Authentication (Google infrastructure), your session lives in a secured cookie, and on every single request our server verifies that the data really belongs to you.

Common questions

Do you sell my data?

No. Our business model is the Pro subscription — not your data. Nothing is shared with ad networks, data brokers, or recruiters.

Can my employer see that I use JobLead?

No. There is no employer view, no public activity, and no notifications to third parties.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your data stays fully intact — only the Pro features end. You can delete your account yourself at any time.
